Medien: Mindestens acht Tote nach Erdrutsch auf italienischer Insel Ischia
Bei einem Erdrutsch auf der italienischen Insel Ischia sind mindestens acht Menschen ums Leben gekommen. Dies berichteten italienische Medien am Samstag unter Berufung auf Infrastrukturminister Matteo Salvini. Zuvor hatten die Nachrichtenagenturen Ansa und AGI gemeldet, nach einem Erdrutsch aufgrund schwerer Regenfälle würden in der Stadt Casamicciola Terme im Norden der Insel Ischia 13 Menschen vermisst.
Den Angaben zufolge begruben die Erdmassen ein Haus und schoben mehrere Autos ins Meer. Aus einem der Autos hätten zwei Menschen gerettet werden können. Die örtlichen Behörden riefen die Inselbewohner dazu auf, in ihren Häusern zu bleiben, um die Rettungsarbeiten nicht zu behindern.
Casamicciola Terme, ein Kurort mit rund 8000 Einwohnern, hatte 2017 ein Erdbeben erlebt, bei dem zwei Menschen ums Leben gekommen waren. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts war der Ort durch ein starkes Erdbeben vollständig zerstört worden.
