Buschmann erinnert an "Mut" von Demonstranten in Länder wie Iran und China
Bundesjustizminister Marco Buschmann (FDP) hat zum Internationalen Tag der Menschenrechte am Samstag an den "besonderen Mut" von Menschen weltweit erinnert, die gegen staatliche Unterdrückung kämpfen. "Unsere Gedanken sind deshalb gerade in diesen Wochen bei den Menschen, die aufbegehren und ihre Rechte und ihre Freiheit einfordern - etwa in Russland, im Iran, in China", erklärte Buschmann am Freitag in Berlin. Buschmann erinnerte zugleich auch an Russlands Menschenrechtsverletzungen in der Ukraine.
"Wir werden alles dafür tun, dass die Verantwortlichen der Verbrechen in der Ukraine eines Tages auf der Anklagebank sitzen, wenn wir ihrer habhaft werden. Das schulden wir nicht nur den Opfern dieser Gräueltaten, sondern auch unserer besonderen Achtung der Menschenrechte", erklärte er. "Dem Autoritarismus gehört nicht die Zukunft - sie gehört der Freiheit und sie gehört dem Recht!", fügte der Minister mit Blick auf den Menschenrechtstag hinzu.
