Festnahme nach Bränden an Zelt für Flüchtlinge in Bayern
Nach zwei Brandanschlägen auf eine noch leerstehende Zeltunterkunft für Flüchtlinge aus der Ukraine in Niederbayern hat die Polizei einen Tatverdächtigen festgenommen. Unter anderem aufgrund eines Hinweises aus der Bevölkerung sei ein 57 Jahre alter Mann aus dem Landkreis Dingolfing-Landau als dringend tatverdächtig ermittelt worden, teilte die Generalstaatsanwaltschaft München am Dienstag mit. Er sei unter dem Vorwurf der versuchten und vorsätzlichen Brandstiftung wegen Flucht- und Wiederholungsgefahr in Untersuchungshaft genommen worden.
Die Ermittler machten keine Angaben zum Tatmotiv. Dies müsse noch ermittelt werden, sagte ein Sprecher der Generalstaatsanwaltschaft. Er konnte keine Angaben machen, ob der 57-Jährige bereits zu den Vorwürfen aussagte. Generalstaatsanwalt Reinhard Röttle erklärte: "Wir dulden in Bayern solche fremdenfeindlichen Angriffe nicht."
Der Festgenommene soll zunächst in der Nacht vom 31. Januar auf 1. Februar und dann am frühen Morgen des 2. Februars Feuer an dem Zelt gelegt haben. Dort sollen Flüchtlinge aus der Ukraine unterkommen. Der Sachschaden der beiden Brände wird auf mehrere tausend Euro geschätzt, Menschen kamen nicht zu Schaden.
