Berliner Gericht: Bei sehr langem Studium kein Wohngeld mehr
Eine Berliner Studentin im 20. Semester bekommt kein Wohngeld mehr. Studiendauer und sonstige Umstände sprächen dafür, dass das Studium nicht ernsthaft betrieben werde, erklärte das Verwaltungsgericht am Dienstag. Dabei könne die Regelstudienzeit nicht wegen angeblicher Nebentätigkeiten verdoppelt werden, auch könnten nicht vier Semester wegen der Pandemie herausgerechnet werden.
Die 1991 geborene Studentin bezog bereits einige Jahre lang Wohngeld. Sie studierte 20 Semester, 14 davon in ihrem aktuellen Studiengang Bauingenieurwesen. Bislang bestand sie nur etwas mehr als die Hälfte der notwendigen Klausuren.
Das Bezirksamt Steglitz-Zehlendorf lehnte die Verlängerung ihres Wohngeldantrags Anfang 2022 ab, weil die Inanspruchnahme missbräuchlich sei. Die Klage dagegen wies das Gericht ab. Das Urteil ist inzwischen rechtskräftig.
