Zweieinhalb Tage nach einer Schwertattacke auf einen Polizisten und einem tödlichen Schuss der Polizei auf den Angreifer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern haben die Ermittler Einzelheiten zu dem Fall veröffentlicht. Das Polizeirevier Anklam sei am Freitagnachmittag von der Polizei in Sachsen-Anhalt wegen eines Hinweises benachrichtigt worden, teilten die Staatsanwaltschaft Stralsund und das Polizeipräsidium Neubrandenburg am Montag mit. Eine Frau habe sich Sorgen um einen 32 Jahre alten Bekannten gemacht.
Dieser sei in einem psychischen Ausnahmezustand und telefonisch nicht mehr erreichbar. Daraufhin seien drei Polizisten zu der Wohnung des Bekannten in dem Ort Jarmen gefahren.
