Tatverdächtiger 19 Jahre nach Mord an Frau in Thüringen verhaftet
Rund 19 Jahre nach dem Mord an einer Frau in Thüringen ist deren früherer Ehemann festgenommen worden. Aufgrund der Ermittlungen der Mordkommission sei der Verdächtige am Donnerstag verhaftet worden, sagte eine Sprecherin des Thüringer Landeskriminalamts (LKA). Zuvor hatte die "Thüringer Allgemeine" darüber berichtet. Laut LKA wird geprüft, ob es sich bei dem Verbrechen um einen Auftragsmord handelte.
Die 35-Jährige war 2004 im thüringischen Schöten durch mehrere Schüsse in ihrem Auto getötet worden. Die Polizei richtete damals eine Sonderkommission ein. "Diverse Ermittlungsansätze" seien zunächst nicht erfolgreich gewesen, sagte die LKA-Sprecherin. Die Ermittlungen zu dem Fall dauerten nach der Festnahme an.
