Ex-Präsident Bolsonaro will aus den USA nach Brasilien zurückkehren
Nach dreimonatigem Aufenthalt in den USA will Brasiliens rechtsradikaler Ex-Präsident Jair Bolsonaro am Donnerstag in sein Heimatland zurückkehren. Nach Angaben seiner Partei soll Bolsonaro um 07.30 Uhr Ortszeit (12.30 Uhr MEZ) in der Hauptstadt Brasília landen. Bolsonaro war zwei Tage vor der Vereidigung seines linksgerichteten Nachfolgers Inácio Lula da Silva in den US-Bundesstaat Florida ausgereist. Den Wahlsieg Lulas hat Bolsonaro bis heute nicht explizit anerkannt.
Die Rückkehr könnte die politischen Spannungen in Brasilien erneut anheizen. Bolsonaro sieht sich mit mehreren Ermittlungsverfahren konfrontiert - so dass er sogar selber in einem Interview über seine mögliche Festnahme spekuliert hat. Eines der Verfahren bezieht sich auf den Sturm von Bolsonaro-Anhängern auf das Regierungsviertel in Brasília eine Woche nach Lulas Amtsantritt. Bolsonaro wird verdächtigt, Drahtzieher des Angriffs gewesen zu sein.
