Ex-Präsident des Verfassungsschutzes musste neu Auto fahren lernen
Der ehemalige Präsident des Bundesverfassungsgerichts, Andreas Voßkuhle, musste nach seiner Amtszeit erst wieder lernen, selbst Auto zu fahren. Der "Rheinischen Post" in Düsseldorf (Samstag) sagte er: "Die alte Selbstverständlichkeit am Steuer ist jedenfalls weg. Ich bin ja zwölf Jahre nie selbst gefahren".
Auch viele andere Bereiche seines Lebens hätten in seiner Amtszeit andere Menschen organisiert. "Lediglich das gelegentliche Einkaufen auf dem Markt und Kochen habe ich mir nicht nehmen lassen", sagte Voßkuhle der Zeitung.
Der Jurist war 2010 zum Präsidenten des Bundesverfassungsgerichtes ernannt worden, zwei Jahre war er bereits als Richter nach Karlsruhe gekommen. Im Jahr 2020 schied er aus dem Dienst aus und erhielt das Großkreuz des Verdienstordens der Bundesrepublik.
Mittlerweile sei er wieder selbst Herr seines Terminkalenders, sagte der 59-Jährige der "RP". Ein knappes Jahr habe er gebraucht, um sich an sein neues Leben zu gewöhnen. "Es ist deutlich weniger Adrenalin im Spiel."
