Tödlicher Unfall in Nordrhein-Westfalen: E-Scooter-Fahrer von Zug erfasst
Ein E-Scooter-Fahrer ist im nordrhein-westfälischen Velbert an einem Bahnübergang von einem Zug erfasst und tödlich verletzt worden. Nach Polizeiangaben ereignete sich der Unfall am Sonntag während der zeitgleichen Durchfahrt von zwei Bahnen. Der Mann wartete demnach laut Zeugen zunächst die Passage eines Zuges ab, übersah aber den aus entgegengesetzter Richtung kommenden zweiten Zug.
Wie Behörden in Mettmann weiter mitteilten, ereignete sich das Unglück an einem Bahnübergang für Autos und Fußgänger. Während die Autos nach der Durchfahrt des ersten Zugs weiter hinter geschlossenen Schranken warteten, fuhr der Rollerfahrer auf dem unbeschrankten Fußgängerüberweg bereits los. Die Polizei sprach von einem "tragischen Verkehrsunfall".
