Suche nach vermisster 14-Jähriger in Nordhessen: Mädchenleiche in Wald gefunden
Bei der Suche nach einer seit Mittwoch vermissten 14-Jährigen ist die Polizei in Nordhessen in einem Wald auf eine Mädchenleiche gestoßen. Der Leichnam sei am Nachmittag in einem Waldgebiet bei Bad Emstal entdeckt worden, teilte die Polizei in Kassel am Donnerstag mit. Ein alarmierter Notarzt habe nur noch den Tod des Mädchens feststellen können. Ein Verbrechen sei nicht auszuschließen.
Die 14-Jährige hatte am Mittwochabend ihr Zuhause in Bad Emstal verlassen und galt seither als vermisst. Die Polizei wandte sich mit einem Foto des Mädchens an die Öffentlichkeit und bat um Mithilfe bei der Suche. Die Beamten erklärten nun, bei der gefundenen Leiche handle es sich um eine "junge weibliche Person".
Ob es die Vermisste sei, stehe noch nicht zweifelsfrei fest, hieß es weiter. Die Identifizierung daure noch an, die Todesursache sei noch unklar. Die Öffentlichkeitsfahndung nach der 14-Jährigen nahm die Polizei aber bereits zurück. Der Fundort der Leiche wurde zur Spurensicherung weiträumig abgesperrt.
