Bericht: Alle 132 Insassen bei Flugzeugabsturz in China ums Leben gekommen
Alle 132 Insassen des vor rund einer Woche in China abgestürzten Passagierflugzeugs sind laut einem Medienbericht bei dem Unglück ums Leben gekommen. "Alle 123 Passagiere und neun Besatzungsmitglieder des Fluges MU5735 der China Eastern Airlines sind am 21. März an Bord ums Leben gekommen", meldete der chinesische Sender CCTV am Samstag unter Berufung auf den stellvertretenden Generaldirektor der Zivilluftfahrtbehörde, Hu Zhenjiang.
Die Maschine mit der Flugnummer MU5735 befand sich am Montag auf dem Weg von Kunming in der Provinz Yunnan nach Guangzhou in der Provinz Guangdong. Nahe der südchinesischen Stadt Wuzhou brach der Kontakt zu der Boeing 737 ab, wie die chinesische Zivilluftfahrtbehörde mitteilte.
Die Maschine verlor laut der Flug-Website FlightRadar24 innerhalb von drei Minuten dramatisch an Höhe, bevor sie vom Radar verschwand: Sie stürzte von einer Höhe von 8870 Metern auf eine Höhe von 982 Metern, eine Differenz von knapp 8000 Metern. Schließlich zerschellte sie in einer bergigen Gegend, der Aufprall löste ein Feuer aus.
In China kommt es nur selten zu Flugzeugabstürzen. Die Sicherheitsvorkehrungen sind streng. Zuletzt war im August 2010 ein Flugzeug von Henan Airlines in der nordöstlichen Provinz Heilongjiang abgestürzt.
