Misstrauensvotum gegen griechische Regierung nach tödlichem Zugunglück 2023
Nach Medienberichten über eine mutmaßliche Manipulation von Beweisen im Zusammenhang mit dem Zugunglück in Griechenland vom Februar 2023 muss sich die Regierung von Ministerpräsident Kyriakos Mitsotakis am Donnerstag einem Misstrauensvotum stellen. Vor der Abstimmung am Abend wird Mitsotakis zu den Abgeordneten sprechen. Eine Zeitung hatte berichtet, an die Öffentlichkeit gelangte Aufzeichnungen von Gesprächen zwischen Bahnmitarbeitern am Tag des Unglücks seien manipuliert worden, um den Eindruck zu erwecken, das Unglück sei allein durch menschliches Versagen verursacht worden.
Der von der sozialistischen Pasok eingebrachte Misstrauensantrag, der auch von den anderen Oppositionsparteien unterstützt wird, dürfte allerdings abgelehnt werden, da die konservative Regierung über eine absolute Mehrheit im Parlament verfügt. Bei dem schwersten Bahnunglück in der Geschichte Griechenlands waren am 28. Februar 2023 nahe der Stadt Larissa ein Güterzug und ein Passagierzug kollidiert. 57 Menschen wurden getötet und viele weitere verletzt.
