Auswärtiges Amt warnt vor Anbahnungsversuchen aus Russland auf Dating-Portalen
Das Auswärtige Amt hat deutsche Staatsbürger vor Anbahnungsversuchen aus Russland auf Dating-Plattformen gewarnt. "Russland ist derzeit nicht das beste Reiseziel für ein erstes Date mit dem Online-Flirt", schrieb das Ministerium am Donnerstag im Online-Dienst Instagram. Im selben Post hieß es, es komme in Russland "immer wieder" zu willkürlichen Festnahmen, das betreffe auch deutsche Staatsbürger.
Die Behörde erwähnte ausdrücklich Anbahnungsversuche auf Dating-Portalen wie Tinder, Hinge und Bumble. "Hier können falsche Motive hinter neuen Kontakten stecken." Zudem bekräftigte das Auswärtige Amt seine Aussage, dass von Reisen nach Russland "dringend abgeraten" werde.
Weiter hieß es, in Russland festgenommene Deutsche könne das Auswärtige Amt oft lediglich konsularisch betreuen. "Um das einmal klar zu sagen: Wir können Deutsche nicht einfach aus dem Gefängnis holen." Die Möglichkeiten des Auswärtigen Amts seien "nicht grenzenlos", die Realität "anders als in Hollywood-Filmen".
Auf Anfrage der Nachrichtenagentur AFP erklärte das Auswärtige Amt, es warne bereits seit Längerem insbesondere vor willkürlichen Festnahmen. Zu konkreten Fällen äußerte sich das Ministerium nicht.
In seinen Reise- und Sicherheitshinweisen für Russland schreibt das Auswärtige Amt zudem seit Monaten, es gebe "aktuell (...) vermehrt Fälle von Internetbetrug, indem Personen aus Westeuropa und den USA aufgefordert werden, beispielsweise im Rahmen vermeintlicher länger angebahnter Liebesbeziehungen Geldzahlungen zu veranlassen".
