22 Verletzte bei Brand in Aufnahmeeinrichtung für Flüchtlinge in Trier
Bei einem Brand in einer Aufnahmeeinrichtung für Flüchtlinge in Trier sind am Samstag 22 Menschen verletzt worden. Acht der Verletzten kamen zur Behandlung ins Krankenhaus, wie die Polizei mitteilte. Die Ursache des Brandausbruchs in der aus 20 Wohn- und vier Sanitärcontainern bestehenden Anlage war demnach zunächst unklar, die Polizei leitete Ermittlungen ein.
Normalerweise leben in der Einrichtung der Polizei zufolge etwa 80 Menschen. Wegen des guten Wetters seien aber nur wenige Bewohner tatsächlich zum Zeitpunkt des Feuers innerhalb der Container gewesen.
Wegen der starken Rauchentwicklung mussten mehrere umliegende große Wohngebäude geräumt werden. Im Einsatz waren 95 hauptberufliche Feuerwehrleute sowie Kräfte von sechs Freiwilligen Feuerwehren, dazu Polizisten der Landes- und Bundespolizei und verschiedene Rettungsdienste. Die betroffenen Flüchtlinge wurden in anderen Unterkünften untergebracht.
