El sacrificio de una gallina en el Senado causa escándalo en México
El Senado mexicano fue escenario este miércoles del sacrificio de una gallina para ofrendar su sangre a Tlaloc, el dios prehispánico de la lluvia, en una ceremonia promovida por un senador oficialista, blanco de una ola de críticas.
La inédita escena era transmitida en redes sociales oficiales del Legislativo pero fue interrumpida momentos después de que uno de los participantes, con el tronar de tambores de fondo, degollara a la gallina para recuperar la sangre en una vasija.
La ceremonia fue promovida por el senador Adolfo Gómez, del partido oficialista Morena, y convocada en las redes institucionales del Senado.
Pero por la tarde, la mesa directiva de la cámara, controlada por el oficialismo, se deslindó de los hechos y dijo que eran responsabilidad individual de Gómez.
El Legislativo "no respalda de ninguna manera los hechos acontecidos y tomará las medidas disciplinarias pertinentes con el senador responsable", señaló un comunicado.
Gómez se escudó en las tradiciones indígenas para justificar la ceremonia. La constitución consagra que "se tienen que respetar las prácticas de los pueblos originarios", dijo a periodistas.
Sin embargo, grupos defensores de animales recordaron que en Ciudad de México está prohibido el maltrato y sacrificio de animales.
La organización Anima Naturalis México informó en la red social X que denunciará al legislador oficialista ante la fiscalía de la capital y convocó a una protesta para el jueves en Senado a fin de exigir su renuncia.
