Mann in Kerpen schlägt mit gestohlener Axt wahllos auf Gegenstände ein
Im nordrhein-westfälischen Kerpen hat die Polizei einen 21-Jährigen festgenommen, der mit einer gestohlenen Axt offenbar wahllos auf Gegenstände einschlug. Anrufer meldeten einen Mann, der mit einer Axt auf Laternen, Büsche und Bäume einschlug und damit Passanten verängstigte, wie die Polizei am Mittwoch mitteilte. Polizisten stellten ihn schließlich an einer Bushaltestelle.
Erst nach mehreren eindringlichen Aufforderungen mit gezogener Dienstwaffe habe der Mann die Axt abgelegt. Den Beamten erklärte er, dass er damit im Wald Bäume fällen wollte. Weitere Ermittlungen ergaben demnach, dass er die Axt in einem nahen Baumarkt gestohlen hatte. Gegen den 21-Jährigen wurde ein Strafverfahren eingeleitet. Er wurde wieder entlassen.
