Zwei Tote und eine lebensgefährlich Verletzte bei Unfall auf der A3
Bei einem schweren Verkehrsunfall sind auf der Autobahn A3 in Franken zwei Menschen ums Leben gekommen. Eine 17 Jahre alte Beifahrerin kam nach dem Unfall am Dienstagabend zudem mit lebensgefährlichen Verletzungen ins Krankenhaus, teilte das Polizeipräsidium Mittelfranken am Mittwoch mit.
Der Polizei zufolge übersah offensichtlich der 32 Jahre alte Fahrer eines Kleintransporters das Ende eines Staus, der sich nach einem vorangegangenen Unfall zwischen den Autobahnkreuzen Altdorf und Nürnberg gebildet hatte. Er sei frontal auf einen auf der rechten Spur stehenden Lkw geprallt. Während die 17 Jahre alte Jugendliche zeitnah von der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr befreit werden konnte, starben der Fahrer und eine 26 Jahre alte Beifahrerin noch an der Unfallstelle in dem Wrack.
Die Staatsanwaltschaft ordnete ein Gutachten zur Ermittlung der genauen Unfallursache an. Die Autobahn A3 blieb in Fahrtrichtung Würzburg für mehrere Stunden gesperrt.
