Deutscher Antikriegsfilm "Im Westen nichts Neues" für neun Oscars nominiert
Das deutsche Antikriegsdrama "Im Westen nichts Neues" geht mit neun Nominierungen als einer der Favoriten in das diesjährige Oscar-Rennen. Die Netflix-Produktion von Regisseur Edward Berger wurde am Dienstag für den Oscar für den besten Film und den Oscar für den besten internationalen Film nominiert, wie bei einer Zeremonie in Los Angeles verkündet wurde. Weitere Nominierungen gab es unter anderem für die beste Kamera, den besten Ton, die beste Filmmusik und das beste adaptierte Drehbuch.
Elf und damit die meisten Nominierungen erhielt die Science-Fiction-Abenteuerkomödie "Everything Everywhere All At Once" des Regie-Duos Daniel Kwan und Daniel Scheinert. Neun Nominierungen gab es neben "Im Westen nichts Neues" auch für die irische Tragikomödie "The Banshees of Inisherin". Der Film "Elvis" von Regisseur Baz Luhrmann wurde acht Mal nominiert, Steven Spielbergs "Die Fabelmans" sieben Mal. Die 95. Oscars werden am 12. März in Hollywood verliehen.
