Warmes Wetter bis in den Spätsommer belastet stationären Modehandel
Der anhaltende Sommer mit warmem Wetter bis in den September hinein hat den stationären Modehandel stark belastet. Wie das Fachmagazin "Textilwirtschaft" am Mittwoch berichtete, bescherte der lange Sommer in diesem Jahr der Branche das erste Minusquartal seit Anfang 2021. Demnach gingen die Umsätze allein in dem für den Modehandel wichtigen Monat September um zwölf Prozent zurück, am Quartalsende stand dann ein Minus von zwei Prozent.
Im Vorjahr hatte der Modehandel das Quartal von Juli bis September noch mit einem Plus von drei Prozent abgeschlossen, allein im September 2022 wuchsen die Umsätze im Jahresvergleich um zehn Prozent. Der September des vergangenen Jahres war nass und kühl, was die Nachfrage nach Pullis und Jacken trieb.
Wie das Fachmagazin weiter berichtete, wurde die Nachfrage der vergangenen Monate eher durch die schwache Konsumstimmung wegen des Ukraine-Kriegs geprägt. Im September zeigte sich dann der "große Einfluss des Wetters auf den Modemarkt". Der Monat steht allein für mehr als ein Zehntel des Jahresumsatzes.
