Mit einer gigantischen Pop-up-Statue im Zentrum von Paris hat der US-Rapper und -Schauspieler Kid Cudi die Veröffentlichung seines neuen Albums "Insano" gefeiert. Seit Freitag steht die zehn Meter hohe, dunkle Statue des bald 40-Jährigen an einer Metro-Station vor der Pariser Börse: Mit ihren gen Himmel gerichteten Handflächen und rot leuchtenden Augen wirkt sie allerdings ziemlich bedrohlich.
Auf Online-Netzwerken erklärte Kid Cudi, der mit bürgerlichem Namen Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi heißt,dass er Paris liebe. Persönlich feierte er die Veröffentlichung seines neunten Albums aber lieber auf der Bühne des Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Für die 21 Titel von "Insano" hat der Rapper mit mehreren Größen der Musikszene zusammengearbeitet, darunter ASAP Rocky, Travis Scott und Pharrell Williams.
