Verfahren zwischen Twitter und US-Milliardär Musk geht vorerst weiter
Trotz der jüngst von Elon Musik geäußerten Kaufabsicht zu Twitter geht das Gerichtsverfahren zwischen dem Onlinedienst und dem US-Milliardär vorerst weiter. Weder Twitter noch Musk hätten das Gericht offiziell um eine Aussetzung des Verfahrens gebeten, teilte die zuständige Richterin Kathaleen McCormick am Mittwoch (Ortszeit). "Ich setze daher die Vorbereitungen für unseren Prozess fort." Der Prozess soll am 17. Oktober beginnen.
Musk hatte im April eine Übernahme von Twitter für 44 Milliarden Dollar angekündigt. Anfang Juli ließ Musk den Deal jedoch wegen angeblich "falscher und irreführender" Angaben des Kurzbotschaftendienstes platzen. Hintergrund ist die Zahl von Spam- oder Fake-Konten auf Twitter. Musk wirft der Plattform vor, die tatsächliche Zahl der Nutzer zu hoch anzugeben.
Twitter hat die Vorwürfe zurückgewiesen und zog vor Gericht, um den Multimilliardär zum Vollzug der Übernahme zu zwingen. Am Dienstag kündigte Musk dann aber an, Twitter doch wie ursprünglich geplant kaufen zu wollen. Voraussetzung sei jedoch, dass das Unternehmen seine Klage zurückziehe.
