Inflation in Eurozone erstmals seit knapp eineinhalb Jahren gesunken
Nach Monaten von Rekordhöhen ist die Inflation in der Eurozone erstmals seit Juni vergangenen Jahres wieder gesunken. Im November lag die Inflation in den Euro-Ländern bei 10,0 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat, wie die Statistikbehörde Eurostat am Mittwoch auf der Grundlage erster Schätzungen mitteilte. Im Oktober waren die Verbraucherpreise im Euroraum noch um einen Rekordwert von 10,6 Prozent gestiegen.
Nach Angaben von Eurostat verlangsamte sich im November vor allem die Verteuerung der Energiepreise. Im Jahresvergleich legten diese zwar weiterhin um 34,9 Prozent zu, im Oktober hatte die Inflationsrate hier jedoch noch bei 41,5 Prozent gelegen. Bei Lebensmitteln, Tabak und Alkohol stieg die Inflation jedoch auf 13,6 Prozent, gegenüber 13,1 Prozent im Oktober.
Nach Ländern aufgeschlüsselt schätzte Eurostat die höchste Inflation in Lettland mit 21,7 Prozent. In Spanien stiegen die Preise am wenigsten mit 6,6 Prozent. Für Deutschland sagte die Statistikbehörde eine Inflation von 11,3 Prozent voraus - Eurostat hat aber eine andere Berechnungsmethode als das Statistische Bundesamt, um die Raten vergleichbarer zu machen.
Die Statistiker in Wiesbaden hatten für Deutschland am Dienstag eine Inflationsrate von voraussichtlich 10,0 Prozent im November mitgeteilt. Im Oktober waren es 10,4 Prozent.
