Ryanair meldet hohe Gewinne zum Jahresende
Die Billigfluggesellschaft Ryanair hat in den letzten Monaten des vergangenen Jahres hohe Gewinne eingefahren. Im dritten Quartal des Steuerjahres 2022 habe die Airline 211 Millionen Euro Plus gemacht, erklärte das irische Unternehmen am Montag. Mit 38,4 Millionen Fluggästen lag das Buchungsaufkommen sieben Prozent über dem Niveau von 2019, also vor der Corona-Pandemie.
Ryanair verwies auf einen "starken Weihnachts-/Neujahrsverkehr". In wichtigen EU-Ländern wie Irland, Italien, Polen und Spanien habe die Airline Marktanteile dazugewonnen. Auch im wichtigen Markt Großbritannien wirkte sich der starke Kaufkraftverlust der Verbraucher nicht negativ auf das Geschäft aus.
Ryanair befinde sich in einer starken Position und habe sein Personal auch während der Pandemie "im Wesentlichen" beibehalten, sagte der unabhängige Luftfahrtanalyst John Strickland der Nachrichtenagentur AFP. Dies zahle sich nun mit steigender Nachfrage der Kunden aus, "die zudem mehr denn je auf ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Wert legen".
