Bayer-Konzern bekommt im Juni neuen Chef - Baumann geht in den Ruhestand
Der Chemie- und Pharmakonzern Bayer bekommt einen neuen Chef: Der derzeitige Vorstandsvorsitzende Werner Baumann geht Ende Mai nach 35 Dienstjahren in den Ruhestand und wird zum Juni von dem US-Ingenieur Bill Anderson abgelöst, wie das Unternehmen am Mittwoch in Leverkusen mitteilte. Die Entscheidung wurde demnach einstimmig vom Aufsichtsrat der Bayer AG gefällt. Das entsprechende "umfassende Auswahlverfahren" lief demnach bereits seit Mitte vergangenen Jahres.
Anderson soll schon im April als Mitglied des Vorstands in das Unternehmen eintreten und dann eng mit Baumann zusammenarbeiten, um einen "reibungslosen Übergang sicherzustellen", wie es weiter hieß. Der 56-jährige studierte Chemieingenieur arbeitet demnach bereits seit 25 Jahren in der Branche und war zuletzt Vorsitzender der Pharmasparte des Roche-Konzerns.
