Bas mahnt Abgeordnete zur Vorsicht bei Social-Media-Apps wie Tiktok
Bundestagspräsidentin Bärbel Bas (SPD) hat die Abgeordneten zu einem vorsichtigen Umgang mit Social-Media-Apps wie Tiktok aufgerufen. "Ich kann hier nur appellieren: Achtet auf die Daten", sagte Bas den Zeitungen der Funke Mediengruppe vom Sonntag. "Man muss sich bewusst machen, dass die Daten möglicherweise missbraucht werden." Die Server befänden sich zum Teil im Ausland. Das sei nicht nur bei Tiktok so, sondern auch bei Facebook oder Instagram.
Auf den Diensthandys der Bundestagsverwaltung sei die umstrittene App Tiktok nicht installiert, sagte Bas. Auf Instagram ist die SPD-Politikerin in ihrer Funktion als Bundestagspräsidentin jedoch selbst aktiv. Es gebe deswegen eine Warnung des Datenschutzbeauftragten, räumte Bas ein. Der Instagram-Kanal @bundestagspraesidentin solle jedoch vorerst weiterbetrieben werden.
"Viele junge Wählerinnen und Wähler informieren sich nur noch mit Hilfe von Social Media über Politik", sagte Bas. "Ziehen wir uns zurück, überlassen wir das Feld den Populisten."
Die von einem chinesischen Unternehmen betriebene Videoplattform Tiktok ist umstritten. Ende Februar hatte das Weiße Haus bereits eine Entfernung der App von allen Dienstgeräten der US-Bundesbehörden angeordnet. Auch die EU-Kommission und mehrere weitere Regierungen haben ähnliche Entscheidungen für die Mobiltelefone ihrer Behördenmitarbeiter getroffen. Experten warnen schon lange davor, dass die App von der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas für Spionage- oder Propagandazwecke benutzt werden könnte.
