Verbraucherschützer: Preisniveau bei Fernwärme weiterhin hoch
Die Preise für das Heizen mit Fernwärme sind weiterhin verhältnismäßig hoch. Das geht aus einer am Dienstag veröffentlichten Untersuchung des Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverbandes (vzbv) hervor. Private Haushalte in einem typischen Mehrfamilienhaus bezahlten im ersten Quartal 17 Cent pro Kilowattstunde, wenn sie an ein großes Wärmenetz angeschlossen waren. Bei kleineren Wärmenetzen steigt der mittlere Preis demnach auf 20 Cent.
Der vzbv wertet seit Anfang 2023 regelmäßig die Preisentwicklung in einer Reihe von Wärmenetzen aus. Die Verbraucherschützer kritisieren, dass die Preise teils sehr unterschiedlich ausfallen, sich stark verändern und die Hintergründe für Kundinnen und Kunden kaum nachvollziehbar sind. Von der Bundesregierung fordern sie deshalb eine grundlegende Überarbeitung des Systems.
"Der Fernwärmemarkt in Deutschland muss endlich verbraucherfreundlicher werden", erklärte vzbv-Chefin Ramona Pop. "Verbraucher:innen erwarten faire Preise, und sie müssen Preisänderungen nachvollziehen können. Das muss die Bundesregierung sicherstellen und endlich eine verbraucherfreundliche Novellierung der Fernwärme-Verordnung angehen."
