Wirtschaftsweise Grimm befürwortet frühere Abschaffung der EEG-Umlage
Die Wirtschaftsweise Veronika Grimm hat sich angesichts der hohen Energiepreise für Entlastungen zugunsten der Verbraucher ausgesprochen. Eine Möglichkeit sei es, die geplante Abschaffung der EEG-Umlage vorzuziehen, sagte Grimm am Freitag im ZDF-"Morgenmagazin". "Man könnte auch zudem noch die Stromsteuer maximal reduzieren, soweit das möglich ist", fügte Grimm hinzu. "Das wäre sicherlich auch angebracht."
Die EEG-Umlage war zu Jahresbeginn von 6,5 auf 3,72 Cent pro Kilowattstunde gesenkt worden. Die bisherigen Pläne der Ampel-Koalition sehen vor, dass die auf den Strompreis erhobene Umlage ab 2023 dann ganz entfallen und die Finanzierung des Ökostrom-Ausbaus aus Haushaltsmitteln erfolgen soll. Allerdings hatten sich zuletzt wegen der aktuell hohen Energiepreise Forderungen gemehrt, diesen Schritt vorzuziehen.
