Sozialverband VdK fordert Kostenübernahme für FFP2-Masken für Hartz-IV-Empfänger
Die Präsidentin des Sozialverbands VdK, Verena Bentele, fordert mehr Unterstützung für Pflegebedürftige und Sozialhilfeempfänger beim Kauf von FFP2-Masken. "Selbst beim Discounter haben die Preise für Masken in den letzten Wochen extrem angezogen", erklärte Bentele am Dienstag. Insbesondere für Menschen mit wenig Geld, wie Pflegebedürftige oder Sozialhilfeempfänger, seien "regelmäßig frische FFP2-Masken zu teuer".
"Im Moment sind gerade mal 17 Euro im Monat im Regelsatz für Gesundheitskosten vorgesehen", erklärte Bentele weiter. Künftig sollten deshalb die Kosten für FFP2-Masken für Hartz-IV- und Grundsicherungsempfänger übernommen werden, forderte sie.
Bentele forderte deshalb auch eine erneute Erhöhung der Pflegehilfsmittelpauschale für Pflegebedürftige auf 60 Euro. Dass diese Erhöhung zum Jahresende 2021 nicht verlängert worden sei, kritisierte die VdK-Präsidentin als "völlig unverständlich".
Zuletzt waren in mehreren Bundesländern die Maskenvorschriften verschärft worden. So dürfen beispielsweise in Berlin, Brandenburg und Bayern im öffentlichen Nahverkehr keine OP-Masken mehr benutzt werden, sondern nur noch die besser schützenden, aber auch deutlich teureren FFP-Masken.
