Institute erwarten 2023 Rezession der deutschen Wirtschaft
Die führenden deutschen Wirtschaftsinstitute erwarten angesichts der Energiekrise im kommenden Jahr ein Einbrechen der Konjunktur. In ihrem am Donnerstag veröffentlichten Herbstgutachten rechnen sie 2023 im Jahresdurchschnitt mit einem Rückgang der Wirtschaftsleistung um 0,4 Prozent. In ihrem Frühjahrsgutachten waren sie noch von einem Wachstum von 3,1 Prozent ausgegangen.
Die stark gestiegenen Gaspreise erhöhten die Energiekosten "drastisch" und führten zu einem "massiven gesamtwirtschaftlichen Kaufkraftentzug", hieß es zur Begründung. Die Zuspitzung auf den Gasmärkten bedeute für Deutschland einen "permanenten Wohlstandsverlust".
Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) dürfte in diesem Jahr um 1,4 Prozent zulegen - trotz eines Rückgangs in der zweiten Jahreshälfte. Nach der Rezession 2023 rechnen die Institute 2024 dann mit einem Anstieg um 1,9 Prozent.
Die Inflation dürfte nach Einschätzung der Experten im kommenden Jahr die Marke von im Schnitt 8,8 Prozent erreichen - nach 8,4 Prozent in diesem Jahr. Erst 2024 werde "allmählich wieder" die Marke von zwei Prozent erreicht.
Beteiligt an der Frühjahrsprognose sind das Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung in Essen (RWI), das Leibniz-Institut in Halle (IWH), das Münchner Ifo-Institut und das Institut für Weltwirtschaft (IfW) in Kiel. Ihr Gutachten dient der Bundesregierung als Grundlage für ihre eigene Prognose.
