Gewerkschaft NGG und Sozialverband VdK für höheren Mindestlohn als zwölf Euro
Ab Oktober gilt ein gesetzlicher Mindestlohn von zwölf Euro pro Stunde - doch vielen geht das nicht weit genug. Die Erhöhung des Mindestlohns könne zwar "die anhaltend hohe Inflation etwas abfedern", jedoch seien weitere Entlastungen nötig, erklärte der Vorsitzende der Gewerkschaft Nahrung-Genuss-Gaststätten (NGG), Guido Zeitler, am Freitag. Der Mindestlohn "muss weiterhin kräftig steigen".
Gerade im Gastgewerbe und im Bäckerhandwerk arbeiteten "viele häufig zu Löhnen, die zum Leben nicht reichen". Hinzu komme, dass viele den gesetzlichen Mindestlohn nicht erhielten, obwohl sie einen Anspruch darauf hätten, beklagte Zeitler und forderte eine bessere Durchsetzung. Die Regierung müsse "wie angekündigt und vom Bundesarbeitsgericht jüngst bekräftigt" die elektronische manipulationssichere Erfassung der Arbeitszeit auf den Weg bringen.
Ab Oktober steigt die gesetzliche Lohnuntergrenze in einem Schritt von derzeit 10,45 Euro brutto pro Stunde auf zwölf Euro. Dies hatte die Regierung beschlossen und nicht die eigens dafür eingesetzte Mindestlohnkommission. Profitieren sollen davon nach Angaben der Regierung über sechs Millionen Beschäftigte.
Mit dem Mindestlohn einhergehend steigt die Grenze bei sogenannten Minijobs von derzeit 450 Euro auf dann 520 Euro. Sie wird künftig an die Mindestlohnentwicklung gekoppelt sein.
Auch der Sozialverband VdK befürwortet zwar grundsätzlich die Erhöhung des Mindestlohns. Sie dürfe aber "nur ein Schritt zu einem Mindestlohn sein, der vor Altersarmut schützt", erklärte VdK-Präsidentin Verena Bentele. Die Regierung müsse "mutig an diesem Thema weiterarbeiten" und den Lohn auf über 13 Euro anheben. Minijobs hingegen müssten generell eingedämmt werden. Sie führten "selten zu einer gut bezahlten, sozialversicherungspflichtigen Beschäftigung" - stattdessen "zementieren" sie Armut, statt sie aufzulösen.
