Vorsitzende der Gas-Expertenkommission dämpft Erwartungen an Gaspreisbremse
Die Vorsitzende der Gas-Expertenkommission, Veronika Grimm, hat vor zu großen Erwartungen an die geplante Gaspreisbremse gewarnt. "Wir werden dauerhaft unsere Abhängigkeit von Russland beenden", sagte sie den Zeitungen der Funke Mediengruppe. Wegen der höheren Beschaffungspreise für Flüssiggas werde der Gaspreis "trotz einer Gaspreisbremse deutlich höher bleiben als vor dem russischen Überfall auf die Ukraine". Die Kommission könne nicht so tun, als sei nichts gewesen.
Wichtig sei es, den Sparanreiz bei einer Gaspreisbremse zu erhalten. Das sei etwa bei einer Einmalzahlung der Fall. Dabei hätten die Menschen immer noch "viel davon, weniger Gas zu verbrauchen". Den Gaspreis um einen bestimmten Prozentsatz zu senken, hätte Grimm zufolge einen deutlich geringeren Sparanreiz.
Die Gaspreisbremse ist wesentlicher Teil des vergangene Woche angekündigten 200 Milliarden Euro schweren "Abwehrschirms" der Ampel-Regierung in der Energiekrise. Hierbei soll ein "Basisverbrauch" bei Gas staatlich subventioniert werden. Die Details sind noch offen. In der Gas-Kommission diskutieren Experten derzeit verschiedene Modelle.
Grimm beklagte zudem den Zeitdruck, dem das Gremium ausgesetzt sei. "Die Entscheidung zur Einberufung eines solchen Gremiums hätte schon vor ein paar Monaten fallen können, die Entwicklung bei den Gaspreisen war schließlich absehbar", sagte Grimm den Funke-Zeitungen. Daher finde sie es "sehr unglücklich, dass wir nun in so kurzer Zeit unter so viel Druck ein Modell für eine Gaspreisbremse finden müssen, das tatsächlich umsetzbar ist".
