Stark-Watzinger zu Besuch in Kiew
Bundesbildungsministerin Bettina Stark-Watzinger (FDP) ist am Montag nach Kiew gereist. Sie wolle sich über die Lage dort vor allem mit Blick auf den Bildungs- und Forschungsbereich informieren und "ein Zeichen der Solidarität mit der Ukraine setzen", teilte ein Ministeriumssprecher dazu in Berlin mit. Stark-Watzinger traf am Morgen mit dem Zug in der ukrainischen Hauptstadt ein.
Stark-Watzinger wolle sich "ein persönliches Bild der furchtbaren Auswirkungen des russischen Angriffskriegs" machen, insbesondere auf den Bildungs und Forschungsbereich". Dabei werde es auch um den künftigen Wiederaufbau gehen, der "ein wichtiges Anliegen der Bundesregierung ist".
Am frühen Abend ist demnach eine gemeinsame Pressekonferenz Start-Watzingers mit ihrem ukrainischen Amtskollegen Serhij Schkarlet vorgesehen. Zudem wolle die deutsche Ministerin mit ukrainischen Abgeordneten sowie mit Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern sprechen. Außerdem werde die FDP-Politikerin eine Berufsschule und das durch den Krieg zerstörte Gebäude des ukrainischen Bildungs- und Wissenschaftsministeriums besuchen.
