Volkshochschulen verzeichnen Aufwärtstrend nach Einbußen durch Corona-Pandemie
Nach deutlichen Einbußen während der Corona-Pandemie haben die Volkshochschulen in Deutschland im Jahr 2022 wieder einen Aufwärtstrend bei den Kursangeboten verzeichnet. Wie der Deutsche Volkshochschul-Verband in Bonn am Mittwoch mitteilte, fanden laut einer Auswertung der Zahlen 2022 mehr als 500.000 Kurse mit rund 13,5 Millionen Unterrichtsstunden statt. Dies entsprach einem Anstieg von 45 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr.
Den Angaben zufolge stiegen die Teilnehmerzahlen gegenüber dem Corona-Jahr 2021 zudem um mehr als 60 Prozent auf über 5,43 Millionen Belegungen. Besonders nachgefragt waren neben Integrationskursen vor allem Kurse aus den Bereichen Kultur und Gestalten sowie Gesundheit. Wie der Verband weiter erklärte, sei nach ersten Berichten aus den Volkshochschulen bundesweit auch für das Jahr 2023 mit einer Fortsetzung des positiven Trends zu rechnen.
