Die Nachfrage nach Corona-Impfungen zieht aufgrund der neuen, an die Omikron-Virusvariante angepassten Impfstoffe wieder an. "Die neue Bestellmöglichkeit des Impfstoffs BA.1 hat zu sechsmal höheren Bestellungen geführt als in den Vorwochen", sagte der Chef des Apothekerverbands Nordrhein, Thomas Preis, der "Rheinischen Post" vom Dienstag. Gebremst werde die Nachfrage allerdings dadurch, dass immer noch eine Empfehlung der Ständigen Impfkommission (Stiko) zu den neuen Präparaten fehle.
"Der ganz große Run auf den Impfstoff bleibt bisher in Arztpraxen und Apotheken noch aus", sagte Preis. Er führte dies auch auf die ausbleibende Stiko-Empfehlung zurück. Diese will sich voraussichtlich an diesem Dienstag zu den an die Omikron-Varianten BA.1 und BA.5 angepassten Impfstoffen von Biontech/Pfizer und Moderna äußern.
Der Apothekerverbandschef kritisierte zudem, dass es für die neuen Impfstoffe noch kein digitales Zertifikat gibt."Bislang haben Ärzte und Apotheker den Bürgern das Impfzertifikat als QR-Code oft mitgegeben. Bei einer Impfung mit den neuen Vakzinen BA.1 und BA.4/5 ist das aus technischen Gründen noch nicht möglich", sagte Preis.
In der IT-Maske seien diese Impfstoffe aufgrund fehlender EU-Spezifikationen derzeit noch nicht eingetragen. Daher müssten Bürgerinnen und Bürger "den manuellen Eintrag aus dem gelben Impfbuch später als Zertifikat nachtragen lassen, etwa in Apotheken". Der neue an die BA.4/5-Variante angepasste Impfstoff soll kommende Woche in Arztpraxen und Impfstellen zur Verfügung stehen.
