Macron stimmt Franzosen auf schwierige Zeiten ein
Der französische Präsident Emmanuel Macron hat seine Landsleute auf schwierige Zeiten eingestimmt. "Wir erleben einen wichtigen Wendepunkt", geprägt von einer "Reihe schwerer Krisen", sagte Macron am Mittwoch in Paris. Die Zeit des Umbruchs sei geprägt vom "Ende des Überflusses", der "Selbstverständlichkeiten" und der "Sorglosigkeit".
Macron bezog sich in seiner Rede unter anderem auf die Folgen des Ukraine-Kriegs und des Klimawandels. Um das "System der Freiheit" zu verteidigen, in dem die Franzosen lebten, müssten "manchmal Opfer erbracht werden", betonte der Präsident. Er wünsche sich eine" starke Einheit der Regierung, der Kräfte der Mehrheit", um die Unabhängigkeit Frankreichs und Europas zu stärken.
Sechs Monate nach Beginn des russischen Angriffskriegs gegen die Ukraine hatte sich Macron am Dienstag für eine "langfristige" Unterstützung Kiews durch Europa ausgesprochen - trotz der dadurch entstehenden Kosten und Folgen.
