Pro Asyl kritisiert schleppende Aufnahme von bedrohten Menschen aus Afghanistan
Die Menschenrechtsorganisation Pro Asyl hat von der Bundesregierung mehr Einsatz bei der Evakuierung von bedrohten Menschen aus dem von den Taliban beherrschten Afghanistan gefordert. Unter anderem müsse die Aufnahme in das von der Regierung initiierte Aufnahmeprogramm beschleunigt und in seinen Abläufen verbessert werden, erklärte Pro Asyl am Freitag in Frankfurt am Main. Die Organisation verwies auf schwerste Menschenrechtsverletzungen der Taliban.
Entgegen der ersten Ankündigung nach ihrer Machtübernahme 2021 stürzten die Taliban Afghanistan "in mittelalterliche Verhältnisse", erklärte Pro Asyl anlässlich des Internationalen Tags der Menschenrechte am Samstag weiter. Frauen würden in nahezu allen Lebensbereichen ihrer Grundrechte beraubt, inzwischen gebe es öffentliche Auspeitschungen und Hinrichtungen.
Angesichts derartiger Praktiken dürfe es "nicht bei Lippenbekenntnissen bleiben", erklärte die Organisation. Die deutsche Regierung müsse "alles tun, damit Menschen, die wegen ihres Engagements für westliche Werte stark gefährdet sind, aufgenommen werden". Das von der Bundesregierung nach der Machtübernahme der Taliban entwickelte Bundesaufnahmeprogramm etwa für ehemalige Ortskräfte westlicher Staaten und Organisationen sei ungenügend.
