Selenskyj fordert in London Verbündete zur Lieferung von Kampfflugzeugen auf
Bei seiner Rede vor den Parlamentariern in London hat der ukrainische Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj die Verbündeten seines Landes einmal mehr zur Lieferung von Kampfflugzeugen aufgefordert. "Ich richte an Sie und die Welt den Appell ... für Kampfflugzeuge für die Ukraine, Flügel für die Freiheit", sagte Selenskyj am Mittwoch in Westminster Hall vor Mitgliedern beider Kammern des britischen Parlaments in London.
Selenskyj war am Vormittag am Flughafen Stansted in Londoner Nordosten gelandet. Seinen Besuch in Großbritannien hatte die britische Regierung kurz zuvor bekanntgegeben - es ist der zweite Besuch Selenskyjs im Ausland seit dem Beginn des russischen Angriffskrieges auf die Ukraine vor fast einem Jahr.
Im Dezember war er in Washington gewesen, für Donnerstag wurde mit einem Besuch des ukrainischen Präsidenten in Brüssel gerechnet. Die britische Regierung hatte im Zusammenhang mit dem Besuch angekündigt, dass sie der Ukraine eine Ausbildung unter anderem für fortgeschrittene ukrainische Kampfjet-Piloten anbieten werde.
