Dreyer stellt sich hinter Einsatzleitung während Flutkatastrophe im Ahrtal
Die rheinland-pfälzische Ministerpräsidentin Malu Dreyer (SPD) hat sich hinter die Einsatzleitung während der verheerenden Flutkatastrophe im Ahrtal im Sommer 2021 gestellt. Sie habe den Einsatz der Aufsichts- und Dienstleistungsdirektion (ADD), welche die Einsatzleitung inne hatte, so empfunden, dass deren Mitarbeiter "wirklich alles gegeben haben", sagte Dreyer am Freitag vor dem Untersuchungsausschuss zur Flutatastrophe im rheinland-pfälzischen Landtag.
Dreyer war zum zweiten Mal als Zeugin vor das Gremium geladen. Für sie habe es in den Tagen nach der Katastrophe keinen Hinweis dafür gegeben, dass die örtlichen Behörden ihren Aufgaben teilweise nicht nachgekommen seien, sagte sie.
Vor der Vernehmung von Dreyer wurde ein Gutachten zur Arbeit des Katastrophenschutzes vorgestellt. Dieses sah Fehler beim Krisenmanagement der ADD. Allerdings habe die Behörde anfangs unter schwierigen Bedingungen arbeiten müssen, beispielsweise ohne ein funktionierendes Mobilfunknetz. Eine Schuld einzelner Verantwortlicher sah das Gutachten nicht.
Starke Regenfälle hatten Mitte Juli 2021 katastrophale Überschwemmungen an Flüssen in Rheinland-Pfalz und Nordrhein-Westfalen ausgelöst. Viele Gemeinden, insbesondere im Ahrtal, wurden verwüstet. In Rheinland-Pfalz kamen im Zusammenhang mit dem Hochwasser 135 Menschen ums Leben. In Nordrhein-Westfalen gab es 48 Tote.
