Britischer König Charles III. kommt zu dreitägigem Staatsbesuch nach Deutschland
Der britische König Charles III. und seine Ehefrau Camilla kommen am Mittwoch (14.10 Uhr) zu einem dreitägigen Staatsbesuch nach Deutschland. Bundespräsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier und seine Frau Elke Büdenbender empfangen das Paar am Brandenburger Tor. Im Schloss Bellevue sind anschließend ein Empfang und am Abend ein Staatsbankett zu Ehren des Monarchen geplant. Am Donnerstag begrüßen Berlins amtierende Regierende Bürgermeisterin Franziska Giffey (SPD) und Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) das königliche Paar. Als erster Monarch überhaupt hält Charles zudem eine Rede im Bundestag.
Später treffen der König und Steinmeier Ministerpräsident Dietmar Woidke (SPD) in Brandenburg, wo unter anderem der Besuch eines Biobetriebs auf dem Programm steht. Am Freitag fahren Charles und Camilla nach Hamburg, wo der erste Staatsbesuch des neuen britischen Königs vor seiner Krönung am 6. Mai am Abend endet. Ein zuvor geplanter Besuch in Frankreich wurde wegen der dortigen Rentenproteste verschoben.
