Bericht: Zahl der Bunkerplätze in Deutschland niedriger als angenommen
In Deutschland gibt es einem Bericht zufolge noch knapp 480.000 Plätze in rund 580 Bunkern und Schutzräumen. Dies sei das Ergebnis einer Bestandsaufnahme, die das Bundesinnenministerium nach dem russischen Angriff auf die Ukraine in Auftrag gegeben hatte, berichtete die "Wirtschaftswoche" am Donnerstag. Die Zahl der verfügbaren Plätze entspricht demnach gut einem halben Prozent der Bevölkerung und ist noch etwas niedriger als in älteren Hochrechnungen angenommen.
Fachleute der Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben und des Bundesamtes für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe schlossen die Erhebung im Mai ab und meldeten die Daten nach Berlin, wie die Zeitung berichtete. "Derzeit unterliegen noch rund 580 Anlagen einer Zivilschutzbindung", sagte ein Ministeriumssprecher der Zeitung. Die Bauten seien überwiegend in Privateigentum sowie im Besitz von Ländern und Kommunen.
Nach dem Beginn des Ukraine-Kriegs hatte der Bund den bereits 2007 beschlossenen Rückbau der Schutzbauten vorerst auf Eis gelegt und die Erfassung der verbliebenen Schutzplätze beschlossen.
Das weitere Vorgehen im Bevölkerungsschutz will der Bund nun mit den Bundesländern klären. Aussagen zu konkreten Plänen und Kosten seien erst anschließend möglich, hieß es dem Bericht zufolge von Seiten des Bundesinnenministeriums. Zur Hochzeit des Kalten Krieges gab es in der Bundesrepublik rund 2000 Schutzräume mit geschätzt 2,3 Millionen Plätzen, so die "Wirtschaftswoche". Zahlen für Schutzbauten in der DDR seien unbekannt.
