Kiew: Atomruine von Tschernobyl wieder ohne Strom
Die von russischen Truppen eingenommene Atomruine von Tschernobyl ist nach ukrainischen Angaben wieder ohne Strom. Der ukrainische Energieversorger Ukrenergo teilte am Montag auf Facebook mit, die Stromleitung zwischen der Anlage und der Stadt Slawutysch sei durch russische Truppen beschädigt worden. Erst am Sonntag hatte die ukrainische Regierung mitgeteilt, dass die Stromversorgung wieder hergestellt sei, so dass die Kühlsysteme der Anlage wieder normal funktionieren könnten.
Im Akw Tschernobyl hatte sich 1986 das schlimmste Atomunglück der Geschichte ereignet, bei dem hunderte Menschen starben und sich radioaktives Material über weite Teile Europas ausbreitete. Das Kraftwerk ist seitdem stillgelegt, ein riesiger Schutzmantel soll den Austritt von Radioaktivität verhindern. Die russische Armee hatte das Gelände im Norden der Ukraine am ersten Tag ihres Einmarschs erobert.
