Habeck betont Notwendigkeit einer starken Rüstungsindustrie
Bundeswirtschaftsminister Robert Habeck (Grüne) hat die Notwendigkeit einer starken Rüstungsindustrie in Deutschland betont. Das "Gebot der Stunde ist, sicherheitsfähig zu sein", sagte der Vizekanzler am Mittwoch nach einem Treffen mehrerer Bundesministerien mit Vertretern der Sicherheits- und Verteidigungsindustrie in Berlin. Diese sei keine Industrie "wie jede andere", sagte Habeck. "Wir müssen uns aber klar machen, dass wir diese Industrie brauchen."
Die Weltbedrohungslage habe sich geändert und sie nicht zu reflektieren, wäre naiv, betonte Habeck. "Und Naivität verbietet sich." Wichtig sei, dass Nachfragen, Sorgen und Ängste in Bezug auf die Rüstungsproduktion ihren Raum bekämen. Doch es gehe um die Wehrhaftigkeit Deutschlands. Diese bedeute, sich auch mit militärischen Mitteln zu verteidigen.
Habeck kündigte an, dass die Gespräche mit den Vertretern der Rüstungsindustrie von Seiten der Bundesregierung fortgesetzt würden. Die Runde am Mittwoch sei "ein Auftakt" gewesen.
