Russland erklärt FDP-nahe Naumann-Stiftung zur "unerwünschten Organisation"
Die russische Regierung hat die FDP-nahe Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für Freiheit zur "unerwünschten Organisation" erklärt. Wie der Vorstand der Stiftung mitteilte, folgt diese Einstufung nach einem bereits vor zwei Jahren erfolgten Verbot der Arbeit in Russland. Die Erklärung zur "unerwünschten Organisation" zeige erneut, "dass der Kreml den weltweiten, entschiedenen Einsatz für Bürger- und Menschenrechte bedroht", hieß es in einer Erklärung.
Der Stiftung zufolge könnte die Einstufung Folgen für Partner in Russland haben: "Vor allem für Russinnen und Russen, insbesondere die langjährigen Partner der Stiftung, bedeutet die Zusammenarbeit mit einer unerwünschten Organisation ein hohes Risiko", erklärte die Stiftung. Die Naumann-Stiftung selbst lasse sich durch den Schritt "nicht beirren" und bleibe bei ihrer Mission.
Im April 2022, zwei Monate nach Beginn des Ukraine-Krieges, hatte Russland einer Reihe von Nichtregierungsorganisationen die Registrierung entzogen und die Schließung ihrer Büros veranlasst. Dazu gehörten neben der Naumann-Stiftung auch andere deutsche Parteistiftungen sowie die Menschenrechtsorganisationen Amnesty International und Human Rights Watch.
