Söder strebt für Europawahl besseres Ergebnis als bei Wahl 2019 an
CSU-Chef Markus Söder hat für seine Partei bei der Europawahl im Juni ein besseres Ergebnis als bei der Wahl 2019 als Ziel ausgegeben. Söder sagte am Samstag auf einem CSU-Europaparteitag in München, statt wie bisher sechs Christsoziale wolle seine Partei künftig mindestens sieben Abgeordnete ins Europaparlament entsenden. "Sieben plus X, das wäre ein gutes Ergebnis."
Die CSU hatte 2019 in Bayern 40,7 Prozent der Stimmen geholt, was für sechs Abgeordnete reichte. Söder stellte sich in seiner Rede hinter die in der Kritik stehende EU-Kommissionspräsidentin Ursula von der Leyen. Diese sei ihm viel lieber als irgendein Sozialdemokrat, den niemand kenne. Auch ein EU-Kommissar von den Grünen für Deutschland wäre für ihn eine schlechte Perspektive - "ein grüner Kommissar für Deutschland, das wäre so ziemlich das Dümmste, was wir machen können. Darum kämpfen wir für Ursula von der Leyen."
Söder verband seine Kampagne für die Europawahl mit Kritik an der Ampel-Koalition im Bund. Die Europawahl müsse das Signal sein, dass die Ampel in Deutschland weg müsse.
