Territoriales Führungskommando der Bundeswehr nimmt Arbeit auf
Als Reaktion auf die veränderte Sicherheitslage nach dem russischen Einmarsch in die Ukraine hat die Bundeswehr seit Montag ein zentral in Berlin angesiedeltes territoriales Führungskommando. Bundesverteidigungsministerin Christine Lambrecht (SPD) gab am Montag bei einem Aufstellungsappell in Berlin den Startschuss für die Arbeit des Führungsgremiums. Es soll bisher auf mehrere Bereiche verteilte Aufgaben der Bundeswehr im Inland bündeln und so schnellere Entscheidungen in Krisensituationen ermöglichen.
"Der heutige Tag ist auch eine schnelle, sichtbare und wirkungsvolle Reaktion auf den russischen Einmarsch in die Ukraine", sagte Lambrecht in der Berliner Julius-Leber-Kaserne. Das Kommando werde helfen, "Entscheidungen zukünftig noch schneller, noch besser, noch abgestimmter zu treffen". Es stärke damit "auch unsere Führungsfähigkeit - im Frieden genauso wie in Krise und Krieg".
Das Führungskommando hat laut Lambrecht neben der Landesverteidigung eine Reihe von Aufgaben. Dazu gehöre die Amts- und Katastrophenhilfe wie etwa Einsätze bei Hochwasser, die Unterstützung des Krisenstabes der Bundesregierung wie in der Corona-Pandemie und die zivil-militärische Zusammenarbeit. Geleitet wird das Führungskommando durch General Carsten Breuer, der bereits den Corona-Krisenstab im Kanzleramt geführt hatte.
