Endergebnis: Rechtsbündnis von Meloni mit absoluter Mehrheit in Italien
Das von der ultrarechten Partei Fratelli d'Italia (FDI) angeführte Rechtsbündnis hat sich bei den Wahlen in Italien am Wochenende wie erwartet die absolute Mehrheit in beiden Kammern des Parlaments gesichert. Die postfaschistische FDI von Giorgia Meloni erhielt laut dem am Dienstag vom Innenministerium in Rom veröffentlichten offiziellen Endergebnis der Wahl 26 Prozent der Stimmen.
Melonis Verbündete, die rechtsnationalen Lega und die konservative Forza Italia (FI), kamen demnach auf 8,8 beziehungsweise 8,1 Prozent der Stimmen. Zusammen mit einer kleinen Partei, die weniger als ein Prozent der Stimmen erhielt, kam das Rechts-Bündnis damit auf 43,8 Prozent der Stimmen. Damit kann es sich im Abgeordnetenhaus 237 von 400 Sitzen sichern, im Senat 115 der 200 Sitze - eine klare Mehrheit in beiden Parlamentskammern.
Der größte Rivale, die sozialdemokratische Demokratischen Partei (PD) von Ex-Regierungschef Enrico Letta kam auf 19 Prozent der Stimmen - das Mitte-Links-Bündnis aus PD und anderen Parteien erhält somit 84 Sitze im Abgeordnetenhaus und 44 Sitze im Senat.
Die populistische Fünf-Sterne-Bewegung (M5S) erreichte 15,4 Prozent und erhält 52 Abgeordnete und 28 Senatoren, die Zentrumspartei Azione mit 7,8 Prozent der Stimmen bekommt 21 Abgeordnete und neun Senatoren. Die verbleibenden Sitze gehen an die kleineren Parteien.
