Nachwahlbefragungen: Partei von Borissow bei Parlamentswahl in Bulgarien vorne
Die konservative Partei des bulgarischen Ex-Regierungschefs Bojko Borissow liegt nach der Parlamentswahl in Bulgarien in Führung. Laut am Sonntagabend veröffentlichten Nachwahlbefragungen erhielt Borissows Partei Gerb etwa 25 Prozent der Stimmen. Die neu gegründete Partei "Wir setzen den Wandel fort" (PP) des im Juni gestürzten liberalen Ministerpräsidenten Kiril Petkow kam auf etwa 19 Prozent. Sollte die Gerb-Partei tatsächlich stärkste Kraft werden, dürfte die Suche nach Bündnispartnern für Borissow schwierig werden.
Die Bulgaren hatten am Sonntag zum vierten Mal binnen 18 Monaten ein neues Parlament bestimmt. Petkow war im Juni nach nur sieben Monaten im Amt durch ein Misstrauensvotum gestürzt worden.
Der Wahlkampf im ärmsten EU-Mitgliedstaat wurde vom Ukraine-Krieg und den unsicheren Gas-Lieferungen dominiert. Bulgarien ist historisch und kulturell eng mit Russland verbunden. Der russische Einmarsch in die Ukraine hat in dem Land mit seinen 6,5 Millionen Einwohnern tiefe Spaltungen verursacht.
Während Borissow versuchte, die Beziehungen sowohl zur EU als auch zu Russland und der Türkei nicht zu gefährden, nahm Petkow im Wahlkampf eine klare pro-europäische Haltung ein.
