Französische Premierministerin zu Antrittsbesuch in Berlin
Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) hat am Freitag die französische Premierministerin Elisabeth Borne zu ihrem Antrittsbesuch in Berlin begrüßt. Borne wurde mit militärischen Ehren im Bundeskanzleramt empfangen. Bei dem anschließenden Gespräch sollte es um die bilaterale und europapolitische Zusammenarbeit Deutschlands und Frankreichs sowie wirtschafts- und energiepolitische Fragen gehen. Beide Politiker wollen anschließend eine gemeinsamen Erklärung zur Energiesolidarität unterzeichnen.
Der eigentlich schon im September geplante Besuch der Premierministerin war wegen einer Corona-Erkrankung des Bundeskanzlers verschoben worden. Im Oktober hatte Frankreich kurzfristig ein deutsch-französisches Ministertreffen abgesagt und sowohl inhaltliche als auch terminliche Gründe dafür genannt. Dies hatte zu vielen Spekulationen über den Zustand der bilateralen Beziehungen geführt.
In der vergangenen Woche waren jedoch drei Bundesminister in Paris, die zudem alle einen Termin beim französischen Präsidenten Emmanuel Macron bekamen: Außenministerin Annalena Baerbock (Grüne), Wirtschaftsminister Robert Habeck (Grüne) und Finanzminister Christian Lindner (FDP). Im Januar wollen beide Regierungen das 60-jährige Bestehen des Elysée-Vertrags, also des deutsch-französischen Freundschaftsvertrags, feiern und den Ministerrat nachholen.
