Nachdem der komplette Verwaltungsrat von Juventus Turin am Dienstag infolge von Justizermittlungen wegen mutmaßlicher Bilanzfälschung zurückgetreten ist, denkt der neue Klubchef Gianluca Ferrero an ein neues Management. So soll Vereins-Ikone Alessandro Del Piero, der als Spieler von 1993 bis zum Karriere-Ende 2012 bei der Alten Dame unter Vertrag gestanden war, in den neuen Verwaltungsrat des Klubs berufen werden. Dies berichtete die Gazzetta dello Sport.
Der 48 Jahre alte ehemalige Weltklassestürmer und früherer Juve-Kapitän könnte zum Vizepräsidenten des Klubs anstelle des zurückgetretenen Managers und Ex-Starspielers Pavel Nedved aufrücken.
Del Piero, der zurzeit in Doha die Spiele der Fußball-WM als Experte kommentiert, erklärte sich bereit, eine Führungsposition bei Juve an der Seite des neuen Klubchefs einzunehmen, der den zurückgetretenen Präsidenten Andrea Agnelli ersetzt.
