WM-Fight im Fußballstadion: Fury schlägt Chisora erneut
Box-Champion Tyson Fury hat in London seinen britischen Landsmann Dereck Chisora erneut geschlagen und den WM-Gürtel im Schwergewicht erfolgreich verteidigt. Der exzentrische 34-Jährige gewann im Fußballstadion von Tottenham Hotspur durch Technischen K.o. in der zehnten Runde.
Fury, der sich selbst den Spitznamen "Gypsy King" verpasst hat, hatte im dritten Aufeinandertreffen mit seinem 38 Jahre alten Kontrahenten wie erwartet wenig Mühe und tat selten mehr als nötig. Zwei-, dreimal pro Runde stellte er Chisora in der Ecke und landete ein paar Schläge, danach ging es meist zügig wieder in den sicheren Clinch. In Runde zehn folgte schließlich der Abbruch - Chisora war nicht mehr in der Lage sich zu verteidigen.
Mit dem Sieg über Chisora blieb Fury auch im 34. Profikampf seiner Karriere ungeschlagen und kann als WBC-Weltmeister nun weiter auf den mit Spannung erwarteten Vereinigungskampf gegen den Ukrainer Alexander Usyk hoffen, der die Gürtel der Verbände WBA, IBF und WBO hält. Ein Termin im Dezember war von Usyk-Seite abgesagt worden, nun wird der Fight für 2023 angestrebt.
